One-Off Feature

This pretty shepherds hut is set at Mill Farm Country Park in Skipsea, East Yorkshire.  Just a short walk from the seafront, as well as being close to the village and its amenities, it’s well placed for an affordable escape to the coast.

General Info

Three minutes walk along Mill Lane takes you into Skipsea village where there is a mini supermarket & Post Office, a tea room, a hairdressers and there is food available at the Board Inn.  A short walk in the other direction takes you to the sea, fish & chips and amusements.  Glamping in England with access to all the amenities you need.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Aside from visiting the beach, there is lots to do in the surrounding area.  David Hockney used the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds in his paintings.  Visit Skipsea with its sea and beach, golf course, pond fishing and amusements.  Skipsea castle site (with a mote and bailey) built on an Iron Age mound and the church dating from 1090.  Bridlington is also close by with its magnificent harbour, boat trips, gardens and golf courses.  Flamborough head has outstanding views and coastal walks.

Interior Details
The shepherd`s hut is for two people only, and is sited on the main camping field.  It is fitted out with a large double bed, wardrobe, large draw under the bed, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, radio and a heater, the fitted dresser is also kitted out with utensils and crockery.  Also provided is a welcome pack of tea and coffee and a pint of locally produced milk.  The main building on the field has the ladies and gents toilets, washbasins and showers, electric sockets for hairdryers and two shaver sockets in the gents.  There is an indoor room with two sinks for washing dishes and vegetable preparation, also tourist information.  Free hot water for showers and dishwashing. 

Exterior Details
The play/games field, which is just off the main field, is ideal for ball games and consists of three acres of mown grass (please note there is no play equipment in this field).  We have planted trees & created a very popular walk along the edge of our farm field which is just across the road.  

Conditions of Rental
Minimum stay 1 night midweek / 2 nights weekends / 3 nights on bank holiday weekends.
