Bottle of champagne and a box of handmade Suffolk chocolates with every booking! Dogs stay for free!
Moored at Snape Maltings on the River Alde, Onderneming was built in 1899 and has been lovingly renovated to provide a memorable getaway for families, couples and groups of friends. No expense was spared in the conversion so you can expect to find all the best bits of modern living, and yet the boat still retains many of its original features, from the portholes and panelling inside to the wheel and colossal dagger boards on the outside. And you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to relax and unwind, with stunning river views, easy access to shops, cafes and pubs, and picturesque river walks in both directions.
If you want to escape the real world for a bit, this is a great place to do it! An unparalleled mooring at Snape Maltings on the River Alde with stunning river views on one side and easy access to the very best retail therapy in Suffolk. Snape Maltings has an excellent pub, a choice of coffee shops as well as lots of other shops, and wonderful river walks on your doorstep. If you cross Snape Bridge you can follow the river right round to the sea at Aldeburgh (approx 6 mil walk). Onderneming's location is within easy reach of Aldeburgh, Orford, Southwold and Suffolk’s beautiful Heritage Coast slightly further up the coast. It’s an unparalleled mooring on the quayside with allocated parking and you will have wonderful walks along the river, directly from the quay. It’s such a tranquil location still but with so much more to see and do, as you will see.
