General Info

On Symondsbury Estate in Dorset is the enchanting Duck cottage. This traditional Dorset cottage is only a short drive or walk away from both a mesmerising coastline and the nearby village of Bridport. The proximity of Symondsbury Estate to a Jurassic coast and a world heritage site means that it only takes a few miles of walking along the spectacular coastal paths and countryside to visit these places and enjoy them for the day. The peace and tranquillity of the place will please all visitors and there’s also plenty of fun to be had on the historic Symondsbury Estate.
The family dog won’t be disappointed either as dogs are welcome at the cottage and dogs and owners alike will find plenty of good walks in this coastal location with the best natural scenery a holiday can offer. Shops, cafes, and the excellent Symondsbury Kitchen are all within a very short distance but guests can enjoy a barbecue in the beautiful terraced garden of the cottage itself.
The building’s aged charm has made it a Grade II listed building, but the owners have been careful to renovate and convert it to ensure that guests enjoy every modern comfort. Perfect for short breaks and holidays, it’s no surprise at all that this cottage is in such high demand, all year round.
