One-Off Feature

A beautiful glamping haven near Crediton in rural Devon, a perfect retreat for families or couples (sleeps up to six people).  The wood and canvas safari lodge accommodation is set in an elevated position in a 15 acre field overlooking a deer park, with far reaching views of the countryside beyond.  An excellent family friendly place for a weekend away, holiday or special occasion.

General Info

Glamping is a wonderful way to experience the great outdoors, without having to compromise on creature comforts like hot showers or real beds.  A stay in this charming safarit tent gives the opportunity to get up close and personal with the deer in the neighbouring deer park (you can even arrange with one of the rangers to feed the deer).  The site is relatively remote and rural but there’s masses to do in the surrounding area, and it’s just a 1.25 mile walk to The Waie Inn at Zeal Monachorum.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

There’s lots to do in the surrounding area to suit all the family.  Within walking distance you can go fishing, visit the Taw Valley Brewery (1.7 miles) and make use of the local sports facilities at The Waie Inn - swimming, squash, tennis and children’s play area (1.25 miles).  There is an abundance of country walks and footpaths, some of which start right from the park entrance.  Also nearby you can go horse riding, play golf, cycling, visit local pubs, Dingles fairground and the Devon sculpture school.  The lodge is just under one hour from Bude beach on the north Devon coast, or 1 hr 20 from Newquay in South Devon.  There’s a welcome pack at the lodge with more information about places to visit nearby.
