Real beds, bedding and fresh linen and wood burning stoves in a peaceful woodland setting, away from our busy and hectic world. A wonderful place to reconnect with campfires and stargazing, surrounded by nature. We host alot of adult groups at our camps. From a girls weekend, reunions to birthday celebrations, we can offer packages to suit your group. Our camps are located in fantastic locations for a wild swim. The River Avon is within 30 mins walk or a short drive. SHEEP HERDING is a hugely popular activity. Do not underestimate the challenge, laughter and learnings that can be had from herding some farm animals around a field. Move our woollen friends around a course of obstacles to accumulate points within the time limit. FARM TOURS provide a glimpse into life on the farm for our 5th generation farmer, Becky and the 250 sheep on the farm. During lambing (end of March to April) there are newborn lambs to tend to and admire. Seasonally, the tours vary and are very popular with little ones and grown ups. FARM OLYMPICS can also be arranged for more active groups (think welly wanging, egg and spoon, sack race – all the classics!).
There are lots of activities available, both on the farm and in the local area. On site, you can try your hand at sheep herding, be introduced to the ancient sport of archery, unwind with yoga or a massage and spot wildlife like deer, foxes, badgers, buzzards and llamas. Further afield, walking and cycling are by far the best ways to explore the countryside. You can hire a bike and cycle the country lanes and the Kennet & Avon Canal or you can step out on foot, stopping at farm shops, cafes, pubs and the small, local organic Quoins vineyard. And if you want a proper day trip, head for the characterful market town of Bradford upon Avon, with its boutiques and restaurants, or the historic city of Bath, with its stunning architecture, excellent shopping and natural thermal springs. Make sure you pay a visit to the local Hartley Farm Shop and Cafe and The Seven Stars in Winsley village, just a mile away.
