Aside from being in the most fabulous location, close to the beautiful Lake District as well as to many lovely beaches, a stay here offers you an exceptional opportunity to explore the Lake District by train as Silverdale Station connects to mainlines, as well as offering the opportunity to take a trip along the Cumbrian Coast. Climb aboard and travel to the market town of Ulverston with its winding streets and boutique shops, or head for Windermere or Ambleside perhaps.
Silverdale is known as the gateway to the Lake District, sitting a few miles south of the Lake District National Park. Silverdale itself is well served by shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Station Cottage is heaven for outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of nature. The RSPB Leighton Moss Reserve and the Gaits Barrow Nature Reserve are on your doorstep, and there are many walking and cycling trails direct from the door (and bike hire available locally). For the golfers, Silverdale Golf Club is less than 200 yards from the cottage. There is a multitude of family friendly activities on offer within a short drive, including Lakeland Segways, Leighton Hall and the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. The cottage is also within easy striking distance of the coast - there are beaches within 1 mile of Silverdale Station, and the famous beach of Morecambe is less than 10 miles by train.

Interior Details
The cottage has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed, and a TV with access to Sky. The second bedroom has twin beds. The two bedrooms share the bathroom which has both a bath and a cubicle shower. The ground floor is home to a generous sized living / dining area which has large comfy sofas with views out to the platform of Silverdale Station, so you can watch the periodic passing of trains from the comfort of your living room! The living room has a large smart TV with Sky & Netflix. The kitchen is well equipped with a wide range of crocker, cutlery and appliances, including an electric oven, induction hob, combi microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer.
Exterior Details
Outside, there is a small courtyard area with seating where you can watch the trains. There’s private parking for two cars.
Conditions:
Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am. No pets and no smoking. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
