The term ‘eco-house’ might conjure up images of basic interiors, dim lighting and primitive bathroom facilities but this could not be further from the truth. The eco properties of today are chic, warm, well-equipped and lovingly furnished, so much so that you would never know they were doing so much good at the same time! From romantic retreats to family friendly houses - at one end of the scale are the more traditional eco-houses – places like rainforest lodges where nature is the focus. At the other end of the scale are the highly luxurious architect-designed properties with solar-powered underfloor heating.
