Take the opportunity to drive around Loch Ness to Drumnadrochit, go on a Loch Ness boat trip or visit Urquhart Castle. Tomatin Distillery is 12 miles south and the now very famous Clava Cairns (9 miles) and Culloden Battlefield (8 miles) are to the northeast. If a day in the outdoors is what you are looking for, then Aviemore is only 27 miles to the south.
