Everyone who visits Woodsman's cabin in a Dordogne forest in France agrees that the peacefulness of the setting is what they love about it most. It provides comfortable yet quirky accomodation for 2 people in an exclusive lakeside setting. The whole ethos of a holiday in a cabin is to provide a welcoming retreat with minimal impact on the environment. Nature is all around you.
Woodsman's cabin provides the perfect antidote to anyone leading a busy stressful life in search of unique holiday rentals in France. Its peaceful surroundings of forests and lakes immediately soothe the soul. The cabin is off-grid. Solar power and a wood-burning stove are used to provide light and to heat water and keep the cabin toasty. Alternative energies are used to provide our visitors with a perfect combination of a back to nature experience, without foregoing today's modern comforts.
Throughout the local area of forests and rolling pastureland there are miles of off road tracks for cycling, walking, birdwatching, wildlife photography, mushrooming or looking for wild flowers. Bathing lakes are nearby. You can birdwatch, enjoy the flora and fauna, take walks through the forest or cycle around the pretty local countryside. A visit to the colourful markets in nearby towns is highly recommended to experience the fabulous local produce. If that seems a bit energetic, just relax on the raft and listen to the fish jumping and the frog's chorus. We provide you with guide books, maps and local information.
