Nestled in the heart of native woodland, Tree Hoose is an enchanting getaway that rises some four meters above the forest floor. Its elevated position, perched high within the existing tree canopy of silver birch and alder, is accessible via a tranquil woodland path and walkway. With its large viewing windows, Tree Hoose provides an incredible vantage point from which to soak up the breathtaking views of Beinn Dearg and Loch Broom. As night falls, you can gaze up at the starry night skies through two large rooflights. Unforgettable treehouse accommodation.
Tree Hoose has already been on quite an adventure, having been constructed off-site and helicoptered in over the loch. There's so much to discover and explore in this stunning region. Whether you're travelling the famous North Coast 500, venturing into the Highlands, or simply taking in the sea air, you'll find empty beaches, rugged trails, and steep peaks. And during the winter months, this area boasts some of the best opportunities to view the Northern Lights - especially on clear, cold nights. The owners - a mixed media artist and a project management consultant - have created their own home and workspace on the croft, along with Studio Hoose, a self-contained cabin that sleeps up to four people, and Tree Hoose, which is perched above and behind Studio Hoose in the woodland and can accommodate up to three people. If you’re in search of treehouse holidays, you’ve come to the right place.
Letters is a superb base from which to explore the local area. The fishing village of Ullapool, on the eastern shore of Lochbroom, is nearby and has a good range of independent shops, cafes and galleries, as well as supermarkets, and a good range of pubs and eating out options. From Ullapool you can also join boat trips, hire bikes, arrange fishing trips and catch a ferry to the Outer Hebrides. Your accommodation also happens to be right on the North Coast 500, a 516 mile long circular tour of the northernmost parts of mainland Scotland. As far as beaches go, there is a shingle beach five mins north of Ullapool, which is suitable for paddle boarding/kayaking and wind surfing/swimming. 50 mins north of Ullapool you'll find the iconic sandy beach at Achmelvich Or drive 35 mins south of Letters to find a large sandy beach at Gruinard Bay which is safe for swimming. The northern Highlands are spectacular and some of Scotland’s great wildernesses are easily accessible from your accommodation. Mountains, glens, ancient forests and beautiful coastlines. You’re surrounded by great walking paths and tracks, and there are many cycle trails accessible from your doorstep. For watersports lovers, take a kayaking trip to explore the north west coastline from the sea.
