One-Off Feature

Le Bouyssou is a rural farm dating back to the 1840s and within its tranquil grounds you will find La Bergerie, a stone barn conversion offering spacious stylish accommodation and beautiful terraces and gardens.

General Info

Le Bouyssou is situated on the border of the Aveyron region which is home to some of France’s most spectacular scenery and fascinating history. The area is characterised by delightful medieval villages, mouth-watering cuisine and diverse landscapes (everything from mountains and gorges to fields and woodland) and in its midst is this gorgeous property - private, peaceful and thoughtfully renovated. If you’re looking for the perfect base for a typically French holiday then you’ve come to the right place.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Le Bouyssou is situated 1km from the village of Loupiac and it is well located between the popular and picturesque towns of Villefranche de Rougergue and Figeac. The Aveyron region is wonderfully unspoilt, full of walled 13th century towns and stunning countryside not to mention places like Najac, Belcastel and Conques (a world heritage site). Sights like the Millau Viaduct, the Roquefort cheese caves and Cahors are well worth a visit and activities like tennis, horse riding, fishing, canoeing, golf, balloon flights and even skiing are available. Markets are a big part of traditional French life and there are plenty to choose from around here. The largest is Villefranche de Rouergue on a Thursday morning but you could also visit Figeac on a Saturday and Najac and Limone on a Sunday. Likewise there are lots of excellent local restaurants to explore and you will find information about these in the welcome pack.
