One-Off Feature
Beautifully refurbished and within easy reach of places like Porthcurno, Marazion and Sennen, Keigwin Cottage is perfectly suited to dreamy escapes on this wonderful slice of the Cornish coast. Step through the door and you’ll discover a light and airy living room with elegant furnishings, slate floors and an original exposed stone fireplace housing a wood burning stove. A separate kitchen at the back of the cottage has French doors which open to a lovely outside space (a rarity in Mousehole), where you can laze in the sunshine or enjoy a spot of fresh-air dining.
General Info
Keigwin Cottage has two first-floor bedrooms – the pretty master with shuttered windows framing a postcard-perfect view up the cottage-lined lane, and a sweet, light-filled children’s room with bunk beds. The first floor is also home to the property’s stunning bathroom which boasts a fabulous roll-top bath and a large shower enclosure.
Just a minute’s walk from the harbour means you’ll have the sea and beach at your disposal, whether for quick morning dips or long, lazy afternoons of sunbathing or sandcastle-building. There are lovely walks to be had along the nearby coast path too, the most popular of which is the route down to Lamorna Cove which offers beautiful views out to sea and across the coastline. If you fancy a day out, then you’ll be spoilt for choice with Newlyn’s independent shops, galleries and restaurants just a couple of minutes’ drive away. Penzance and its heated Art Deco lido lies a little further along the coast, and here you’ll also find the ferry dock for the Scillonian III which provides day trips over the magical Scilly Isles.
