Ty Penbryn is a luxurious Georgian style mansion which has undergone extensive renovations and combines historic charm with modern and luxurious amenities. Originally built in the early 19th century, it was once the home of the Welsh poet Sir Lewis Morris. It is set in 1.8 acres of beautiful gardens and has panoramic views over the Lower Towy Valley.
Carmarthenshire stretches from the south coast past Swansea up to the edges of the Brecon Beacons and is packed with things to do on holiday. Pretty towns, wide sandy beaches, castles and wide open spaces. Cycling is very popular and there are trails for all levels. Footpaths criss cross the countryside and coastline. There are castles galore, and many beautiful gardens and National Trust properties to visit. Visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales, the British Bird of Prey Centre, and Carmarthen Castle, and enjoy the wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep in the town itself.

Interior Details
The house can sleep up to 24 guests across 9 bedrooms (all with ensuite bathrooms) in the main house and a further two bedrooms in an adapted ground floor annexe. The first floor Georgian Wing has five bedrooms, all with king or superking beds. The first floor Victorian Wing has four bedrooms, two twins, one room with two double beds, and one room with a double and a single. The ground floor annex has a double and a single, a bathroom with grab handles and built in seat, and a separate living area and small kitchen.
The living spaces are extensive! In the main house there is a large kitchen, fully equipped for all your needs, as well as a smaller kitchen - ample cookware and appliances for large groups. The separate dining room seats up to 24. There’s a games room, music room, and billiard room, and the entrance hall has a jukebox, karaoke and disco ball. On the second floor there’s a cinema room with a 100” Smart TV and a separate office. The leisure wing has an indoor swimming pool (12m x 6m, with a 4m x 1.5m beach step ideal for younger guests), heated loungers, a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, along with changing rooms. There’s also an upstairs area with ping pong table, large TV and sofas.
Exterior Details
Outside, you’ll find 1.8 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. There’s a multi use games area (from pickleball to football) and a pirate ship play area for younger guests.
Conditions of Rental
Up to two dogs welcome for an additional £25 per dog. NB Dogs are not allowed in the leisure wing, first floor or on any soft furnishings. Guests are welcome to use the onsite EV charger (type 2 plug) for an additional fee (minimum fee £30). Bed linen, towels, final cleaning, pool heating, house heating and wifi all included in the price. High chair and cot available for a small additional charge. Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am. Refundable security deposit required on booking.
