Lovingly restored and refurbished using local materials, this traditional Canarian barn in Lanzarote has been converted into unique and contemporary holiday accommodation which offers beautiful interiors, mature gardens and magnificent views of both mountains and sea.
The barn has been thoughtfully renovated and is now a perfect combination of rustic and contemporary - wood and marble floors and traditional stone walls mix with light airy rooms and up to date mod cons to create a cosy yet current feel. The terrace boasts fantastic views of the well-maintained gardens and the Temisa Valley and volcanic mountains beyond, and outside your private grounds you will find exceptional shared facilities, a sandy beach, a charming fishing village and the many delights of the island.
Finca de Arrieta is a 30,000 metre estate which features mature exotic gardens full of mango banana, guava and lime trees, and spectacular sea and mountain views in every direction. The Finca is wonderfully located just 300 metres from a sandy beach where you will find a seafront restaurant and bar, and the traditional fishing village of Arrieta has a good selection of restaurants and shops. In the water you can surf, sail, dive, fish, swim or windsurf, and around the island you can hike, bike, bird watch, wine taste, shop at local markets, take part in colourful fiestas and visit attractions like Rancho Texas Park and the various Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism. The mountain village of Haria is just a short drive away, and all along the coast there are golden beaches to discover. You could even take a boat over to La Graciosa, the smallest inhabited island in the Canaries.
Getting There:
The village of Arrieta is located on the North East coast of the island of Lanzarote. The island's only airport is located in Arrecife which is a 30 minute drive away (airport transfers can be arranged). Private transfers to and from the airport are included in the price. Flights to Lanzarote are available with Monarch, Thomson, Thomas Cook, Easyjet, Jet2com and Ryanair.

Interior Details
The barn is laid out over 90m2 on one level, with a large open plan lounge that leads out to a patio and a fully fitted kitchen. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a wooden floor and oriental furniture, and the second bedroom has marble floors and bunk beds. Both bedrooms have sea views. There is also a walk-in shower that is accessible from the lounge.
Exterior Details
The barn is set in a mature walled and gated garden, complete with sun loungers, a BBQ and a teak dining set. All guests have shared use of a solar-heated swimming pool and chill-out area with a Polynesian-style daybed. Communal facilities include a covered, open room with hardwood floors, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, authentic Moroccan floor seating and an on-site honesty shop selling things like pasta, charcoal, milk, washing powder and local products. There are also animal enclosures and a children’s play area. Guests are free to help themselves to eggs from the free-range hens.

Conditions of Rental
A deposit of 30% of the total cost of your holiday is required to book any property. The remaining balance is due at least one month before your arrival in Lanzarote. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. A basic welcome pack is provided. Cleaning, beach towel hire, babysitting, and local produce grocery boxes can be arranged, as can excursions and activities like massage treatments, surf lessons, mountain bike hire and catamaran sailing trips.
