Hi Daniela and Frank Thanks so much for a lovely week – we had such a nice time. It was just what we needed. The rest of our holiday was good too – but not as nice as our week with you. We really missed you after we’d left! Very best wishes to all of you. Love Sarah and Jack

Our second visit to the Quinta in 7 years, and the memories were right! Such an amazing place, and somewhere where my phone has little or no signal! Bliss!! Visiting with our 5 year old daughter, she immediately latched on to the 'Quinta Kids', and they had a ball! We were left to bask in the sun, enjoying a dip in the lake to cool off, and take out one of the kayaks for some excercise and to enjoy the amazing scenery and tranquility of the region. Frank, Daniella and the kids are soo welcoming and the food and company is second to none. A perfect retreat to recharge your batteries and to see an area that remains unspoilt and undeveloped. Excellent value and somewhere we will frequent far more! 10/10 - James, Liza & Holly

Every now and again, albeit not very often, something wonderful happens in your life and suffice to say, as far as holidays are concerned, Paradise in Portugal really hits the mark. The word ‘Paradise’ is often mis-used but quite honestly, this place really re-defines the word ... it is simply sensational. If you want to go to the usual ‘flesh pots’ then head to the Algarve Coast. If you want to live in comfort, in simply sumptuous surroundings, where the pace of life is horizontal, where you can relax and reflect, then look no further - this is it. The location is ‘awesome’ - there is no other word for it. Frank and Daniela are wonderful hosts - Frank is a laugh a minute and Daniela ... well her culinary skills have to be seen to be believed. Her meals would grace any top end restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys - they are quite simply ‘Top’ people. The place has a really fantastic homely feel to it. I take my hat off to Frank - he has built the place up from nothing over a considerable period of time. They are passionate about wildlife - the premises is totally sympathetic to same. Hand on heart, I can honestly say that there are no negative points - I could have wept when I left. People often make holiday promises about getting back in touch etc etc but in this instance I can honestly say .... as in the immortal words of Arnie Schwartzenegger .... “I’LL BE BACK” - and that is MOST definite.

I was needing a break after six years without a holiday, and by Googling 'Different Holidays', I found the One Off Places website and Quinta just jumped out at me. I spent quite a bit of time checking and double checking the main website, before finally booking 22 days. I did not regret it as I loved every minute of it. As a solo traveller, I got plenty of private time but also got to meet different personalities and nationalities at the communal dinners. Daniela never once repeated the meals (That's 22 different starters, mains and desserts), and all were fantastic. Frank was also a wealth of knowledge, in not just birds but other wildlife, plants and history, making most interesting dinner conversations. The dogs really will follow anyone for a walk, and the children were all very helpful. It is not a question of will I be back but WHEN will I be back?
