We had the most wonderful stay in this delightful villa for a week in August. It was perfectly decorated and has the most beautiful soft furnishings. Added to this there were two terraces that looked over the wooded valley beyond, as well as a perfectly designed small garden for sitting out in with a glass of bubbly. A visit to Lucca was one of the highlights of our stay no more than an hour away. We would highly recommend this villa as a place to stay in northern Tuscany.

It was really perfect, everything is lovely! We all came to rest, the house is really zenn.... We loved the beds, they are very comfortable! In the evening we loved to sit outside in the garden wich is lovely too, or at the balcony and we heard the wolves howling! We went down the hill, to the street which you can see from the bedroom, and we took photo’s over there of Casa Ceru. There is also a small river where we have a swim. It is a nature reserve down there, very lovely... We went to the town Barga and to Luca, they are lovely places to go. We enjoy our staying at Casa Ceru very much! We would really love to go back again some time!

A group of four of us stayed and had a fantastic time. The location is stunning, the amenities are beautiful, and the people in the area are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for 8 nights and could easily have stayed for another 8. We rented a compact car which came in handy on the windy roads in the area. Driving through the mountains was an unforgettable experience as was hiking in Garfagnana. My favourite thing to do in the morning was opening the windows, most of which open up to the gorgeous sun drenched valley. We spent a lot of time checking out the area which is historic and beautiful, but we wished we had spent more time around the place just relaxing. The best vacation that any of us can remember and we definitely look forward to our next visit!

I just wanted to express our delight with our stay at your house. Your house is simply beautiful! We spent an amazing 2 weeks (4 adults) and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed our hikes in the mountains as it was such a perfect base for the Garfagnana and Lucca. All the amenities are top notch and the 'welcome basket' is a lovely touch. The narrow road up to the house (not the village road) requires a small car and is a bit scary at first but we did get used to it. However, I would advise not to drive anything larger than a compact. It was nice that we could load and unload right near the house. I'm really looking forward to returning and dining al fresco (in the garden) as they were just starting to work on the garden just as our 2 weeks were coming to an end. If the rest of the house is any indication ....I'm sure it will be just gorgeous! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience a true Tuscan holiday.
