General Info

This Norfolk glamping site (there are two yurts on the same site) is the perfect place to escape busy lives and reconnect with nature.  You can spend your days watching the children running free,  exploring the surrounding woodland, or heading further afield to local pubs, beaches and nearby towns.  With fishing, golf, bird watching, walking and cycling right on our doorstep you can’t be better placed for a holiday enjoying Norfolk. Then at the end of each day, toast marshmallows round the campfire and sink into a luxurious king sized bed for a well earned sleep.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

There’s masses to do in the surrounding area, both on and offsite.  Norfolk is a visitor’s paradise!  Huge beaches, pretty coastal villages, market towns, biking and hiking, village pubs and wildlife watching.  On site, wander through the woods and enjoy the great array of natural flora and fauna we have on site.  The children will enjoy a bit of pond dipping and den building, and meeting the chickens and geese in the orchard.  Nearby, the Royal Norwich golf club, ROARR Dinosaur Adventure, Pensthorpe Natural Park, Foxley Wood, Mid Norfolk Railway, Thetford Forest and The Norfolk Broads, to name just a few.  The beautiful north Norfolk coast is just 30 minutes away and there are lots of wonderful beaches to choose from. Take a walk along the nearby Marriott's or Wensum Way, taste local ales at friendly country pubs within walking distance. For a spot of culture, a shopping trip or simply to take in the UKs best preserved medieval city, vibrant Norwich is just 20 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

Interior Details
The roundhouse can sleep up to seven in comfort, but equally is cosy for two.  This unique structure is made with roundwood timber, strawbale walls, clay plaster, sheeps wool insulation and is topped off with a reciprocal roof with sedum on the top. The roundhouse has a well-equipped, off-grid handmade kitchen including an oven, hobs and grill.  There is a comfortable designer sofa and chairs (which can convert into additional beds), as well as a hanging chair nestled around the woodburner (logs and kindling provided).  There’s a bench seat and bespoke table with Ercol chairs, for dining, game playing, or simply admiring the views through the huge window.  Lighting and a USB socket powered by solar panels.  There is an ensuite compost toilet with a hand carved oak sink, running water through copper taps and a round window with a view of the meadow.

Exterior Details
There’s a picnic bench, BBQ and outdoor chairs. Snooze in your massive hammock (big enough for all the family!), or cook on the provided BBQ and eat alfresco.  The glampsite is set in 18 acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside so you’ll have no shortage of outside space!  There is a communal campfire area, swingball tennis and a ball game friendly area.
