Set within mature trees around a peaceful pond is Orwell Barn, a rustic yet luxurious country cottage where you can escape from the world, go for long walks and spend hours unwinding in the private hot tub. With its vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and log fire, Orwell Barn is full of character, but it is also full of all the modern comforts you could need for a relaxing home-from-home experience. The accommodation is cosy yet spacious, the indoor-outdoor garden room (with its decadent hot tub) is a truly memorable spot, and the surrounding countryside is a haven of fresh air, clear skies, winding lanes and wildlife. Suffolk is the ultimate destination for a rural retreat. Dogs stay for free!
Rural Suffolk is a haven of country lanes, clear skies and wildlife so it’s the perfect destination when you want to escape the hustle and bustle. Walking and cycling are popular here, and activities like sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are available both on and offshore, or if you prefer gentler pursuits there are plenty of medieval buildings and historic houses to explore. The Heritage Coast, just half an hour away, is truly picturesque and has the well-known tourist spots of Aldeburgh, Orford and Southwold dotted along it. Or you could discover the awe-inspiring scenery of Dedham Vale, go shopping in a local craft and farm shop, or sit back in one of the many superb pubs and eateries on your doorstep.
Getting There:
The cottage is 5 minutes from the A140, along the A1120 Suffolk Tourist Route in Stonham Aspal. Go past the Church on your right, the village School & Ten Bells pub on your left, take the first right, signposted Crowfield Church. We are almost a mile down the lane on the right hand side.

Interior Details
On the ground floor there is a farmhouse style kitchen with painted pine furniture and a stable door, as well as a living area with a comfy sofa, a log burning fire, a TV/DVD player and an iPod dock. Up a winding handmade timber staircase you will find a mezzanine bedroom with stunning views over the landscaped gardens and waterfall, and downstairs there is a luxurious shower room.
Exterior Details
Outside there is a large enclosed garden with a BBQ, dining furniture and a wonderful indoor-outdoor room with a private hot tub. There are other cottages on site, all of which are set within the trees around a pond and a communal decked area.
Conditions
2 or 3 night weekends from Fridays, 4 night midweek breaks from Mondays, and 5 night midweek breaks from Sundays, as well as full weeks and longer, from any of those days. Contact us if you would like anything different. Up to three dogs per cottage are welcome at no additional charge. Breakfast basket included (as well as some treats for your four legged friends!).
