One-Off Feature

Here is a place where glamping reaches new heights....Nestled within 500 acres of native English woodland in the peaceful Yorkshire Wolds, these Woodcutter Huts are the perfect camping upgrade!

General Info

Forget crowds, overused facilities and commercial woodland – the North Star Club provides something a bit special.  The setting is a huge bio-diverse forest, the accommodation is a cluster of private suites furnished in a rustic chic style, and the surrounding countryside is not only picturesque but is also abundant in attractions and activities. If you’re looking for a unique alternative to a country house hotel then you won’t find anywhere more magical than this.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Yorkshire is a magnificent region boasting sublime countryside, vibrant cities and a rich culture and heritage. There are two national parks to explore as well as a beautiful coastline, and (aside from London) there are more Michelin-starred restaurants here than anywhere else in the UK. The local village, Sancton, is home to an award-winning pub, there are several other excellent eateries within the local area (the owners have top recommendations) and there are lots of other activities available nearby, from polo and gliding to golf, water sports and clay pigeon shooting. Sledmere House and Burton Agnes Hall are both well worth a visit, the wild coastline at Flamorough Head is just 30 minutes away, and York and Beverley are both known for their shopping and for their races. What more could you possibly need for an invigorating getaway?

Getting There & Local Amenities

Getting There:
From the South, drive along the M62 heading east (which turns into the A63), come off at Junction 38 and keep left towards North Cave just a mile away. Take the first left which is variously marked for North Cliffe, South Cliffe, North Cave Wetlands Nature reserve, and Market Weighton. Continue north along this road for about 4.5 miles and take the right (the only right after you’ve left North Cave) to Sancton. Go down this single road for about a mile and you will see the North Star Club on your right leading into woods. If you end up in Sancton you’ve gone too far as the entrance is about 400 metres before the village. From the North, come along the Hull road A1079 and on the Market Weighton bypass, there will be a sign to North Cliffe, South Cliffe and polo clubs.
