One-Off Feature
A superb location with out-of-this-world sea views, 4 Glendorgal Sands has all you could ask for from a coastal holiday home.
General Info
Located in the 38-acre private Glendorgal estate, this beautiful home is set over two floors, and there’s plenty of room for family and friends to be completely comfortable. There are two lovely upper floor bedrooms, both with en-suites, and the bigger of the two has its own sea-facing balcony. On the ground floor is a bright and airy single as well as a family bathroom with shower. The light-filled living room lies on the lower floor and has one of the best views in Cornwall as its backdrop, so as you soak up the atmosphere, you’ll feel a wonderful sense of relaxation that only holidays on the Cornish coast can provide.
On sunny days, slide back the doors and step out to the sun-deck which is the perfect spot for fresh air dining, lazing in the sunshine, and watching the sun set over the Atlantic. Here you can truly appreciate the beauty of Porth Beach and the surrounding scenery, with views reaching right across the sand, ocean and cliffs. One of the best things about this property (apart from the amazing views of course), is it’s only 50 metres from Porth’s golden sands, with access directly below the Glendorgal Sands development.
Positioned between Watergate Bay and Newquay, Porth Beach is best-known for its safe swimming and family-friendly vibe. The beach is lifeguarded from Easter to October and the shallows are perfect for tots and toddlers to splash around in. The long tidal drop reveals many beautiful rock pools and due to its position between two headlands it is very sheltered. Across the road from the beach is Roo's Beach Hut where visitors can stock up on fishing nets, buckets and sun cream while on the opposite side of the car park is Café Coast for cream teas and ice cream in the sunshine.
For guests hoping to take to the waves, the renowned surfing beach at Watergate Bay is a five-ish minute drive to the north, and the famous Fistral Beach is about 10 minutes in the opposite direction. Newquay’s other beaches including Lusty Glaze, Tolcarne and Great Western are also within easy reach as is its fantastic foodie scene, shops and coffee bars.
*Please note that due to a steep drop beyond the garden wall, children should be supervised at all times when outside
