Tranquil and private yet just a stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of vibrant Bamburgh, this characterful cottage enjoys soothing interiors and far reaching sea views. It’s simply a delight.
Named after the famous local heroine Grace Darling, who rowed out to sea in a treacherous storm to rescue stricken seaman back in the 1800s, Grace Cottage has charm, charisma and cosiness in spades. Inside, it has been furnished to a very high standard, with a Farrow and Ball palette of colours and all the contemporary comforts you could need. Outside there is a beautifully maintained shared garden where you can soak up both the sun and the atmosphere. And moments away there are shops, restaurants and beaches aplenty. What more could you want from a holiday home?
Framed by its magnificent castle and its picture-perfect sandy beach, made famous by numerous films, Bamburgh is a simply idyllic seaside destination. It boasts a multitude of gift shops, fish restaurants and welcoming shops, as well as a museum and a picturesque bowling green, and nearby you will find Seahouses (from where you can catch boat trips over to the Farne Islands), Budle Bay (a birdwatcher’s paradise) and history-rich Holy Island.

Set within a Georgian country house, Grace Cottage has a large luxurious lounge with a wood burning stove and lovely views, a well-equipped kitchen/dining room with all the mod cons, two bedrooms (one en-suite Master and one king/twin) and a bathroom with under floor heating and Orla Kiely toiletries.
Exterior Details
The cottage has shared use of a pretty and well maintained garden with a summerhouse. There is also a front garden.
Conditions of Rental
Arrival day is Friday or Monday with check in from 4pm and check out by 10am. An initial basket of logs will be provided for holidays taken between October and end of April. Sorry, no pets. With all accommodation on one level and level access from the front door as well as a walk-in shower, this cottage is well suited to those with limited mobility.
