Gloriously secluded two bedroom eco house on an organic farm in the province of Tarragona, Spain. Olive tree terraces, swimming pool and wonderful sea views, it’s a 20 minute drive to the beautiful beaches and coastline around L’Ampolla.
Finca Casita Guarda (The Guard House) was originally a farm storage building. The owner of the property has worked tirelessly over the last few years to restore the land to its former glory and create an organic and sustainable olive farm which now produces high quality olive oil. As it is off grid, solar panels have been installed and rainwater is gathered and treated on the farm itself. As a guest, this means you can enjoy the mod cons of running water, shower, satellite TV etc, whilst knowing that you are not impacting the environment in any way.
The local area is very laid back and friendly, and there are lots of places to explore in the vicinity. L’Ampolla is the nearest coastal town and has a nice marina and good local shops. Head to Deltebre for fresh fish, Tortosa if you are into medieval history, or go north up the coast for an hour to reach Tarragona, the second largest city in Catalonia (after Barcelona). There is a folder in the house with suggestions of places to visit.
Getting There:
By car about 10 km from N-340 between L'Ampolla and Camarles, turning right, direction Coll de Alba and hills of Tortosa. Full details to be given upon confirmation.

Interior Details
Inside the house is simple but comfortable. There are two bedrooms - one which opens onto the steps leading to the pool area, and a second bedroom in the gallery above the open plan living space. The kitchen / living room is open plan and comfortable. There is a large bathroom with shower.
Exterior Details
The house has a large terrace and pool. You are also welcome to explore the olive tree terraces. Find yourself a good spot under an olive tree for a picnic, or enjoy the wonderful sea views from the hillside. You can forage for wild rosemary and thyme, or seek out our few almond trees which are loved by the local wildlife!
Conditions of Rental
Minimum stay: 5 days. Discounts available on request for longer than 1 week bookings. £50 cleaning fee. £300 deposit payable on booking.
