The Travelling Post Office

Next on our list, The Travelling Post Office,a Victorian train coach which is simply perfect for anyone in search of unique holiday accommodation.  It’s a conversion of a former Great Western Railway train carriage, set in the village of St Germans, next to the village train station.  Train carriage holidays are increasing in popularity and it’s not hard to see why - this carriage for instance made history in 1904 with a record breaking 100mph run!  With access to acres of private woodland, a short walk to the village pub, and a 20 minute walk to St Ives Bay, this also make up part of our collection of cottages for family holidays, as there’s so much to do in the vicinity.

Mariner’s Cottage, Mousehole

If you’re in search of a holiday cottage by the sea in Cornwall, then this is a pretty good place to stay.  It’s a 17th century fisherman’s cottage with a pretty whitewashed facade in the village of Mousehole, South Cornwall.  It can sleep four people in two bedrooms, and has simply stunning views from all the sea-facing windows.  There’s even a water’s edge garden with views over Mount’s Bay and towards Lizard’s Point.
