One-Off Feature
Create memories to last a lifetime at this luxurious, eco-friendly cottage sitting on a hillside just 2 miles outside the beautiful town of Presteigne. This idyllic retreat, which sleeps six people over three exquisite bedrooms, is a wonderful accommodation option for families and groups of friends seeking a stylish bolthole to call home while they discover the Herefordshire countryside together. During the day, stroll through the magnificent Hergest Croft Gardens, which offer wonderful views of the Black Mountains. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ feast on the cottage’s large decked area while you take in the stunning views over the Lugg Valley.

Step inside this opulent cottage and you'll be greeted by an inviting hallway that leads to an expansive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that’s overflowing with charm. Take a moment to relax in the stylish living area, which boasts artfully exposed beams and sweeping country views, before heading to the oak and granite kitchen area to cook up some dinner. Gather everyone to eat around the classic dining table, or head out onto the pretty deck, fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour yourself a glass and relax by the energy-efficient wood burner while you soak up the views from the large picture window. At the end of the day, you’ll find one king-size bedroom on the ground floor that boasts French doors opening out onto the deck. Adjacent to this room you’ll find a shower room with a walk-in shower. Climb the wooden stairs to the first floor and you’ll find two additional bedrooms. The first is a cosy room with bespoke Norwegian-style twin beds (there are also two futons in this room that can be converted into single beds to accommodate two extra guests at an additional charge), and the second features a super-king-size bed that can be converted to twin beds on request. Completing the layout, you’ll find a beautiful bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Head off to hike or bike along the scenic trails of Wapley Hill Wood (6.5 miles) – the country views are breathtaking. Alternatively, browse the 6,000 artifacts that showcase the town's development at the Kington Museum (9.5 miles).
