Built in 1734 by the 2nd Baronet of Springkell, the house has been in the hands of the Johnson-Ferguson family since the late 1800s. Today at Springkell you can see evidence of the improvements through the eras, with Georgian, Regency and Edwardian features. Earlier generations of the family with horticultural expertise mean that the grounds are as beautiful as the house.
There’s lots to explore in the surrounding area. We can also arrange a multitude activities for you and your group, including clay pigeon shooting, mountain bikings, golf, hiking, bird watching, kayaking, climbing and mini highland games. Please enquire for details.

Interior Details
The mansion house has a total of 14 bedrooms and can sleep up to 28 people. There is a honeymoon suite, six large bedrooms, two family bedrooms and five deluxe bedrooms. All 14 bedrooms have been individually furnished by a London based interior design company. The bedrooms are huge, and eight of them have emperor sized beds. All the beds have very comfortable Hypnos mattresses. Each room comes with towelling dressing gowns and slippers, towels and hot drink facilities. There is a large sitting room with a 40 inch flat screen TV complete with DVD player, WII and Playstation with games. There is wifi throughout the house.

Further Details
For larger groups, or those needing independent space, there are also two cottages just 50 metres from the main house, each with two bedrooms. One of these cottage is single storey, so better suited to those with mobility restrictions. Total capacity of the house and cottages combined is 36 people.
