One-Off Feature

Located in the heart of Lancashire on the edge of both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, Jackdaw Quarry Lodge offers luxurious design, spectacular lake views and an opportunity to escape from the world.

General Info

With a 5* Enjoy England rating under its belt there is no question that Jackdaw Quarry Lodge is a contemporary, comfortable and unique holiday hideaway. The accommodation is modern yet eco-friendly, the views from the balcony are nothing short of breathtaking, and the local area is wonderfully picturesque and unspoilt. If you’re looking for a weekend retreat where you can enjoy countryside walks, sunsets over the bay and cosy nights in then this is just the place.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

As if the setting of the lodge itself wasn’t enough, this is a truly beautiful part of the world, with the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and the Pennine Way all a short distance away. Those interested in history should explore the castles of Muncaster, Sizergh and Skipton, culture vultures must visit Brantwood (the museum of John Ruskin) and Hill Top House, the home of Beatrix Potter, and wildlife lovers will enjoy Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve, Docker Park Farm and Lakeland Wildlife Oasis. The countryside here is fantastic for walking and cycling, in particular the Pennine Bridleway, and activities like scuba diving are also available at the lake. And for something a little different, take yourself off to the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, which takes back to 1630!
