One of a pair of shepherd huts adjacent to a working farm with outstanding views of the Somerset Levels.  Collie Shepherd Hut is situated in a half acre plot, a private and peaceful retreat with en suite bathroom and a private wood fired hot tub on the terrace.

General Info

Set in the rural hamlet of Henley near Langport, this charming pair of huts are each well secluded from one another with their own private facilities, so ideal for a romantic retreat for a couple, or two couples wishing to holiday together.  The huts are in a central location for exploring rural Somerset, and are a short drive from both Glastonbury Tor and Wells Cathedral.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The huts are located in a central position in Somerset allowing you easy access to a wide variety of sights and attractions.  A whole host of local pubs and eateries will allow you to try some traditional West Country dishes.  You can book to join a guided wildlife tour to discover more about the flora and fauna of the Somerset Levels including rare bird species and otters.  Hike up Glastonbury Tor to watch the sunrise and look out across the whole of the Somerset Levels.  Visit the Avalon Marshes Centre to learn more about the Levels’ heritage and biodiversity.  Head to the Jurassic Coast for beaches and fossils, take a day trip to Cheddar Gorge and Caves, or rent a bike and cycle some of the well marked Somerset Levels cycle route.

The huts are located in the rural hamlet of Henley which overlooks the Somerset Levels.  The nearest town is Langport which is 4 miles away.  Taunton, Yeovil and Bridgwater are all approx 30 mins drive.

Accommodation Details

Interior Details
Inside, Collie has an open plan living space with a Smart TV and a wood burner. There is wifi throughout.  The kitchen area has a microwave oven, double ring hob and a fridge with freezer compartment.  There is a comfortable king size bed.  The shower room has an electric heated towel rail, shower, wash basin, shaving socket and flushing toilet.  There is electric heating. Some basic provisions are provided, and a welcome folder with information about the local area.

Exterior Details
The hut has a private garden with comfortable seating where you can relax and enjoy your rural surroundings.  There is a private wood fired hot tub (logs provided), a fire pit and a BBQ.  Parking directly outside the hut.

Conditions of Rental
25% non refundable deposit payable on booking.  Balance due 6 weeks before the arrival date.  Check in from 3pm.  Check out by 10am.  No smoking.  Bed linen, towels and logs for the log burner, hot tub and firepit provided. One small well behaved dog is welcome for a small additional fee (please ask if you would like to bring a second dog as this is sometimes available at our discretion).  As the shepherd huts are adjacent to a working farm, there are potential hazards and therefore the accommodation is not suitable for children.  Accessibility: the huts each have a few steps leading up to the door.
