One-Off Feature
A stunning property in glorious surroundings, this magnificent retreat provides sumptuous holiday accommodation for twelve guests. Imaginatively built around a 17th-century cottage, this fantastic getaway makes a wonderful location for larger groups enjoying a long-awaited reunion. Set in an elevated spot at the heart of the Lake District, this fabulous escape offers far-reaching views, a hot tub, exposed beams, original stonework and acres of private grounds.
The original cottage now forms the character-filled entrance hall to this spectacular property, with exposed stonework and beams. The impressive lounge has a Smart TV, plenty of seating and sensational views via the large sliding doors. The elegant kitchen/diner has a choice of equipment and mesmerising views and provides a fabulous space for cooking and sharing a celebratory meal. There are six gorgeous en-suite bedrooms to choose between. A galleried inner hall leads to the ground-floor bedrooms: a twin and a king-size room with a private terrace. The first floor has two king-size rooms, one with a glass-fronted balcony, and there are two bedrooms in the original part of the house: a twin and an emperor room with a floor-to-ceiling glass-fronted gable end and private balcony. Outside, a vast glass-fronted slate terrace wraps around the property and features plenty of outdoor furniture and a wood-burning brazier. The house is surrounded by four acres of enclosed, secluded terraced woodland gardens with a wood-and-stone seating area around a large fire pit, a glazed footbridge leading to a secret magical garden, an outside shower and a delightful hot tub.
There are plenty of attractions in and near Coniston including the Ruskin Museum, the sparkling Coniston Water and The Old Man of Coniston (all within a mile). Also nearby are Scafell Pike, Hawkshead, Wray Castle on the shore of Windermere and Esthwaite Water (all within 9 miles).
