One-Off Feature
This delightful croft house on the northernmost of the Shetland Isles is an idyllic retreat for two. Carefully restored and tastefully furnished, the house is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful wild countryside and there are stunning views towards the sea, making it the perfect place to get away from it all.
Inside, this charming cottage combines traditional features with contemporary comforts. The soothing soft blue and grey colour scheme echoes the coastal location and creates a relaxing ambience.
Entering this single-storey cottage, you come into the smart kitchen/diner, with contemporary black and white units, and it is well-equipped for rustling up breakfast, lunch or dinner. Enjoy an intimate meal for two at the adjacent dining table. From the kitchen, a low doorway leads to a hallway, utility room and a wardrobe for your clothes. After eating, wander into the cosy lounge and sink back into the comfortable sofa. Relax in front of a film and enjoy the warm glow of the wood burner, set in the characterful stone fireplace. At the end of the day, the lovely double bedroom is prettily decorated with beautiful furnishings in muted colours, ensuring a blissful night’s sleep. In the lounge there is also an electric inflatable double bed available on request. In the morning, stroll into the bathroom for a refreshing shower or a relaxing bath and ponder your day ahead before breakfast.
Outside, the property has a small gravelled patio with a bistro chair and table – the perfect spot for a drink with a glorious view across the lush grass to the sparkling sea dotted with islands in the distance. There is an off-road parking space directly next to the cottage.
Please check the Ferries to the Islands are operating before booking.
