One-Off Feature
Stroll beside the river, explore the 2 acres of garden and return to warm yourselves beside the open fire at this delightful Scottish retreat. Situated at Tummel Bridge, 13 miles from Pitlochry in Perth and Kinross, the handsome, four-bedroom former farmhouse sleeps up to eight guests and is happy to accommodate canine companions. Close to the River Tummel, Loch Tummel and Tay Forest Park, it's nestled in enchanting surroundings that are ideal for parties of friends and family who are eager to immerse themselves in Scotland’s great outdoors.
Head inside the white-washed, stone house to discover rooms that blend elements of the past with modern-day comforts. Decorated in soft, neutral shades, it has been carefully finished to ensure you have somewhere warm, comfortable and relaxing to return home to at the end of each exciting day out exploring, and there is ample space for your party to spread out and enjoy being together.
At ground-floor level there is a porch, where you can kick off your walking boots, shoes or wellies before heading inside to rest for a while after your latest adventure. From here, amble through to the lounge, with its open fire to bask beside on crisp autumn and winter days. There is also a Smart TV in here for those wishing to watch a film or their favourite programme and plenty of soft seating to unwind on as you play games or read your books. The kitchen/diner is also a good size. Here there is a modern food preparation and storage area, where you can unpack your shopping bags and take turns rustling up delicious meals to keep everyone going throughout their stay. The table in here is a good size to gather around. After dinner, head through to the conservatory with your coffee or on warm evenings, take it out into the garden. Also downstairs, you’ll find the family shower room and one of your bedrooms, a king-size.
Climb the stairs to find the remaining three rooms. These include another king-size, this time with an en-suite shower room, a super-king and a twin. A family bathroom is also up here on the first floor.
Wander around the beautiful gardens as much as you choose, looking out for wildlife along the way. Play games with the children on the lawn, light the BBQ and grill supper out in the fresh air and enjoy a wee dram in the summer house as the sun sets. There is parking for three cars at this property.
