The house is well equipped and comfortable, with a pretty garden, and a few steps to 3km of Blue Flag sandy beach! This is the place to come for your Galicia holidays. General Info

The beach house is one of the oldest in the area - it dates back to the 50s but has been fully refurbished and is now a modern and comfortable house for a holiday in northern Spain. The house is right on the beach, and 1km from the town of Boiro. Set in 850 square metres, it’s bordered to the north by garden, and to the south by the promenade and beach. If you're searching for holiday homes by the sea, it’s a peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy beach life.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

It may be that you venture no further than the beach during your stay, and we wouldn’t blame you! Barrana beach is a 3km cove of white sand with calm waters and blue flag status - perfect for families with young children. There is a promenade running all the way along the beach which is wonderful for walking or bike riding. Three km from the house is another blue flag beach, Carragueiros, also with white sand and crystal clear waters. It’s a popular and busy beach with a marina.

There are lots of activities and places of interest nearby, and lots of opportunity for boat trips, sailing, diving, canoeing, biking, hiking and golfing. It's particularly helpful in your search for villas for large groups to know that there's lots for everyone to do nearby. Visit the celtic ruins at Barona Castros (30km), or take the trail through the natural pools of Barbanza (8km). The National Park of Dunes Corrubedo is 25km, one of six parks in the region with stunning sand dunes. For town visits, the catholic pilgrimage destination of Santiago de Compostela is a 40 minute drive, and the supremely picturesque city of Pontevedra is 45 minute drive.

Interior Details
The house sleeps up to six people in four bedrooms, two doubles and two singles. There are three bathrooms. There is a large open plan living room and kitchen, which has wonderful sea views. On the floor above there is a study and a double bedroom en suite. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave and fridge freezer. The dining room has seating for six. The house has satellite TV and internet. Linen and towels provided. There is a washing machine and tumble drier.

Exterior Details
The house has a private garden with direct access onto the promenade and beach. There is also a first floor balcony. Two bicycles are available for guest use.

We had a fantastic stay at Luis and Olga's house by the beach in Boiro. The house itself is lovely (and clean and comfortable) with great views from the living room and terrace of the coast. In addition, the owners, Luis and Olga, could not have been more accommodating - they did everything possible to make sure we had a good holiday. We also very much enjoyed the area, from eating out locally (fantastic seafood at a number of restaurants round the corner from the house) to a number of walks and bike rides along the promenade at the back of the house. We have a small child and Olga and Luis made sure we had everything we needed - cot, high-chair and even a baby-seat for the bike. We highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit Galicia.

2016 Guests

We had a wonderful stay in this house just steps away from Baraña Beach in Boiro. The first and second level of the house have been completely renovated with high quality materials. There is ample of space for a (large) family with kids. It was unusally hot in Galicia during our holidays, but the temperature in the house was always pleasant, even without aircon. Everything you need is in the house (bed linnen, ample towels, kitchen tools, ..) The views of the sea from the living room on the first floor, and the adjacent terrace are just beautiful. The owners Luis and Olga were extremely helpful, also providing us with with everything we needed for our toddler (cot, high chair, buggy, bike seat, etc) so we could travel light. A bakery is just around the corner, Boiro has a few nice restaurants, and the center of Boiro is biking distance, the bikes came in very handy.
