One-Off Feature
Honeycrisp’s contemporary design creates a really gorgeous space for relaxing breaks away with a loved one, and features an outside deck with wood-fired hot tub, as well as furniture and a firepit / barbecue for fresh air dining. A sprawling lawn to the front of the pods rolls down towards the River Axe, so if you like to start the morning with a dip in the hot tub you’ll be hard pressed to find a more idyllic setting for it. Inside, there’s plenty of space to get comfy in, with a lounge area and TV, dining nook, thoughtfully-equipped kitchenette, shower room and bedroom.
General Info
Just a 10 minute walk away, the Pheasant Pub (a favourite in the area) is a terrific place to while an afternoon or two away with good food and drink, or for those who don’t mind a short drive, The Ring O’Bells and The Burcott are also close by. A wealth of nature-infused attractions such as Wookey Caves (about 8 minutes’ drive), Cheddar Gorge, and Kilver Court and Gardens (both about 20 minutes) lie within easy reach, while Wells with its cathedral, shopping, restaurants and heritage sites, is the perfect day out. There are also several good beaches in the area including Burnham-on-Sea (with Britain’s shortest pier) which is about 30 minutes’ drive away, and the pebbly Kilve which is a little over an hour’s drive.

Double doors open outside to the deck, with views down the garden and over the Lower River Axe

Kitchen
Small but beautifully equipped kitchen with fridge (with ice box) and sink. There is a combined microwave and oven, toaster, kettle and small range of utensils, cookware and crockery

Dining Area
A table and chairs in the lounge area

Bedroom
The comfortable double bed with reading light and window partition so guests can enjoy a morning lie-in with views down towards the river

Bathroom
The bathroom has a walk-in shower cubicle with electric shower, hand basin, heated towel rail, and flushing toilet

Outside
Decked area to the front of the pod with a table and chairs and views over the communal grass area, apple trees and river
A firepit with grill attachment which doubles as BBQ. A starter pack of logs is provided but more logs can be purchased on site
The hot tub is wood-fired and rests on the decking. Logs for the hot tub are supplied and more are available to buy on site
Please note that the hot tub can be seen if guests are out walking in the grounds but not from the decking areas of the other pods
Guests may walk around the owners’ gardens where there are two resident pigs named Polly and Sally, and a troop of hens

Parking
This pod has its own parking space. One EV charging point is available to share between all guests at the site
