The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The city of York is a wonderful town, with a huge array of activities. From the city walls to the charming shopping street known as The Shambles, York has something for everybody. There are various cruises available down the river Ouse and visitors can enjoy the National Railway Museum, the Castle Museum and Betty's Tea Rooms – home of Yorkshire Tea and an incredibly unique mirror from the Second World War on which service men visiting the café could write their names with a diamond-tipped ‘pen'. Further afield are the Yorkshire Dales and Moors as well as the coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey, making this an incredibly diverse destination.
