A romantic glamping pod for two, set in a pretty meadow on an Oxfordshire farm. It’s well situated for exploring the Cotswolds, for walking or cycling in the surrounding area, or simply for escaping to the country for a weekend away with a loved one.
The glamping pod is set in the grounds of a farm in Kelmscott, a pretty village in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The farmhouse itself offers B&B, and then you have the option of more unusual places to stay on site in the form of the pod and an additional self catering option, a shepherd’s hut with private hot tub, in the meadow. There are lots of excellent pubs and independent village stores in the vicinity, and the larger villages / towns of Lechlade, Carterton and Faringdon are all within a short drive.
There is lots to see, do, eat and enjoy in this famously lovely region. Within walking distance of the hut you will find the stunning and historic Kelmscott Manor, the River Thames where you can hire a boat or walk along the footpath, and The Plough Inn, a village pub which serves excellent food and local beer. Within a 15 minute drive are the medieval town of Burford, the National Trust-owned Burcot Park, the Great Barn at Coxwell, Cotswold Woollen Weavers and the Cotswold Wildlife Park. And 30 minutes away are Blenheim Palace, Bibury Trout Farm, the city of Oxford, White Horse Hill, the Roman market town of Cirencester and the many attractions of Bourton-on-the-Water. The landscape around here is perfect for walking, cycling, fishing, shooting or horse riding and don’t forget the nearby racecourses and car circuits.
