Stroll through the village to the smokehouse, pausing to sample local fare in one of the eateries and admire the spoils at the art gallery and shop. There are walking paths galore and, for a fee, you can charter a boat for fishing.



Elegant and spacious, the interior of the property is characterised by stylish furniture, chic decor and all the gadgets you need for a comfortable stay. Perch at the breakfast bar of the bespoke kitchen whilst the resident cook prepares a meal, then enjoy supper around the table. A wood burner keeps the lounge warm on chilly evenings whilst you unwind with a good film. Upstairs, all three bedrooms are well-appointed for a restful night’s sleep, two of which have en-suite facilities including the master suite with its deep copper bath. The property has patio seating for al fresco drinks, and there is off-road parking for three cars.



A short 0.5-mile walk will take you along the coast to the imposing Dunstanburgh Castle, which is also the location of a popular golf club. Howick Hall and Gardens can also be reached within 3 miles, and the route itself is excellent for wildlife spotting. Venturing further afield will bring you to pretty beaches such as the remote sands of Longhoughton, 5 miles away, close to the ancient fishing village of Boulmer that has a dark history of smuggling and pirates.
