One-Off Feature
Fantastically located in the Dorset countryside, settle in at this gorgeous cottage which is surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With so much to explore both on and off site, spend your days kicking a football, adventuring the plethora of tracks, or with a bucket and spade in hand at one of the many beaches which dot the local coastline, including Weymouth (25 miles). Sleeping four across two bedrooms, this is the perfect abode for small families and welcomes your beloved dog, too.
Sitting on a courtyard with three other holidays cottages, enjoy your own privacy, or make use of the fantastic, shared facilities. First, head inside to start unpacking and making yourselves at home. The open-plan living space is great for sociable evenings and for keeping your designated chef company whilst they cook up a storm. Light, bright and sitting beneath characterful high ceilings with exposed beams, spend time rustling up tasty treats for all before plating up at the table or stepping outside to dine alfresco in the private, unenclosed garden with patio. After a few sundowners, or a relaxing soak in the indoor pool (shared with other properties on site), head back inside and get comfortable in front of the TV and the wood burner-effect electric fire - perfect for cosying up after muddy adventures or after exploring the grounds. When it’s time to head to bed, the two bedrooms offer peaceful places to drift off. The snug, bunkbed room is great for younger guests, whilst the double bedroom has a door leading outside, great for al fresco coffees or late-night tipples.
If little ones aren’t too exhausted from playing in the play area (shared with other on-site properties), pack your bags and head to the seaside for a beach day. Visit the horseshoe bay at Lulworth Cove (30 miles) and swim in the glittering seas before making the 1.5-mile trip to the spectacular arch at Durdle Door - a must-see if visiting the Jurassic Coast. Stay closer to home and walk the network of well-trodden trails which lead from the grounds, great for a spot of morning stick chasing with the dog.
