One-Off Feature
Located in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, this elegant townhouse is a wonderful destination for couples or families. It’s the perfect getaway for exploring the town’s shops, pubs and places to eat, or getting active in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

Books, board games and art on the walls make this period house feel like a real home from home. The welcoming lounge has a coal-effect gas fire for flickering flames on chilly evenings, and a Freeview TV plus DVD player to keep you entertained. Wander through to the kitchen/diner and you’ll find a pretty room decorated in pale colours and with plenty of cupboard space. The light-filled dining area has a farmhouse-style table where you can enjoy social meals and plan your adventures. Cottage-style stairs (be aware that they are steep) lead you to a double bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor. More cottage-style stairs take you up again to the triple bedroom, with three single beds and low, sloping ceilings. For a morning coffee in the fresh air, sundowners or al fresco meals, open the French doors in the dining area and step onto the patio, where you’ll find a small table, chairs and a BBQ.

The property is around 500 metres from the centre of Hay-on-Wye, renowned as a centre for book shops, but also home to a variety of interesting boutiques and a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. When you want to stretch your legs, the Offa’s Dyke walking trail is less than 200 metres from your front door, and wild swimmers can head to The Warren for a dip. Get out on the water in a kayak or canoe, or cycle through the beautiful countryside all around. For keen climbers, Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, is 25 miles away.
