While a rustic country feel dominates both the lodge and shepherd’s hut, the furnishings and appliances give a modern touch. Sit down for romantic dinners in the lodge, which has a contemporary kitchen area to cook all that local produce you have discovered on your days out. On cool nights, you can sit inside at the bench table to enjoy the fruits of your labour but during the warmer summer months, you can’t beat eating alfresco on the terrace and taking an impromptu dip in the hot tub under the Devon night sky.



For evenings out, visit the idyllic Fisherman’s Cot at Bickleigh (2 miles) for dinner, or the charming town of Tiverton (5 miles) for a larger selection of restaurants. The cathedral city of Exeter is a 15-mile drive away and is a haven of historic attractions, including the Gothic cathedral, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and the medieval underground passages that run beneath the city. Dartmoor National Park is within 30 miles and offers excellent walking and cycling country.
