One-Off Feature
This beautiful safari lodge is the ideal rural retreat for couples, families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday in a unique setting, a perfect base to explore the local countryside, mountains, and valleys. The property is in the centre of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons), so you have stunning surroundings, adventurous hikes, and thrilling bike trails all at hand. The village of Talybont-on-Usk is just 1 mile from the lodge, providing shops to peruse, local arts and crafts to discover, and canal walks to explore.

Step into this uniquely impressive property, which, although it is a lodge, provides everything you would expect from a stylish house, and you will relax the moment you arrive. An open-plan kitchen/lounge area welcomes you, where you can sink into the plush leather sofas, enjoy chatting or playing board games or pop a log in the cosy wood burner to keep you snug on chilly evenings. Whip up a family feast in the fully equipped kitchen area and eat relaxing on the sofas or the veranda benches. The lodge has three bedrooms - one double, one twin, and a double cabin bed, perfect for the kids to enjoy. The bathroom is a ‘Pitch Pod’ with a shower and WC. Relax on the large veranda with a picnic table and chairs overlooking the fields, woodland, and hills; light the fire pit for al fresco dining on warmer days and unwind in the private wood-fired hot tub. A shared wood-fired pizza oven cart is available.

Explore the wonders of the National Park: hike Pen-y-fan, the highest peak in South Wales, 15 miles away, take a trip on the Brecon Mountain Railway (12.5 miles), or, for a wet weather day, visit the Big Pit National Coal Museum (17.5 miles), which provides a fascinating history of coal mining and the opportunity for a tour underground!
