Whether you appreciate gourmet food, quirky shops, scenic walks, or historic sites telling the story of this gorgeous part of Wales, everything is within easy reach. With space for three guests over two bedrooms, it’s fantastic for a space-seeking couple or a small family with the dog in tow.

This welcoming, reverse-level house adjoins a former water mill. Its striking exterior is made from grey stone and timber panelling, and the visual appeal continues inside where a large open-plan living area awaits on the top floor. This space has a lofty, vaulted ceiling and gorgeous exposed wooden beams as well as a TV and a roaring wood burner for cooler evenings. You’ll have a well-equipped kitchen including a breakfast bar, a dining table with river views, and a comfy sofa for evening relaxation. At night, choose from two delightful ground-floor bedrooms; a sumptuous double room and a cosy single, both served by the well-appointed shower room. There’s plenty of space to relax outside, too, with a private and enclosed garden complete with a picnic table and BBQ. Join the community orchard and nature reserve from the adjoining footpath, or fish in the river by arrangement with the owners.

You’ll find plenty to do nearby, with Presteigne’s Judge's Lodging just 0.5 miles away and lovely National Trust sites to visit such as Croft Castle (12 miles) and Berrington Hall (16 miles). Visit The Spaceguard Centre (5.5 miles) for a guided tour about asteroids and comets, or head up to Knighton (7 miles) to visit the Offa’s Dyke Centre and pick up maps and information about this historical trail.
