This beautiful historic town house is set in the heart of the town of Condom in the Gers (Gascony) region of south west France. Sleeping up to 10 people and simply oozing original character features, it has been beautifully renovated, has a small private pool and is walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants.
Staying in this fabulous house will give you instant access to the town and its amenities - the stunning cathedral, museum, theatre as well as a host of bars and restaurants, shops and parks, and the option for boat rides, tennis, swimming and cycling. What is more, the surrounding Gers countryside with its charming Gascon villages are well worth a visit. The town of Condom was once a key stop off point on one of the pilgrimage paths to Santiago de Compostella, and in more recent centuries the town has been important for its production and export of armagnac.
As the house is in the heart of the town, you are within an easy walk to all the attractions and amenities in Condom itself. Within a few minutes you’ll reach a bakery, bars, the river Baise, restaurants, cinema, theatre and a local distillery. Condom is also home to the magnificent Cathedral of Saint-Pierre which is well worth a visit. Supermarkets and markets are also on tap. The beautiful countryside of The Gers region surrounding the town is a must for a visit. The Gers is in the heart of Gascony and is characterised by sunflower fields, vineyards, Bastide villages and fortified downs. There’s masses to see and do in the surrounding area.
Getting There:
If arriving by plane, Bergerac, Toulouse, Pau and Bordeaux are all approximately 1.5 hours away. If driving from the ports then it’s approximately a 7 hour drive from St Malo or a 9 hour drive from Calais. You can also choose to arrive by train - to Agen or via Toulouse.

Interior Details
The house has 7 bedrooms (3 kings, 2 doubles and 2 singles) and can sleep up to 10 people. On entering the house you’ll find the Lanson Library / hidden bar, a large salon and a dining room, as well as a small utility room. The living spaces are comfortable and spacious. Up a spectacular stone staircase to the first floor where you’ll find the kitchen, complete with all the necessary appliances, crockery and cutlery, as well as a dishwasher, cooker, and walk in pantry. The two roomed Rose Moët suite is also on the first floor, with its vintage double bed and seating area, and then you walk through to a room with a king size bed, and a freestanding roll top bath and bathroom. The next floor up is home to the Pommery Suite with its king size bed and freestanding roll top bath (plus en suite) and the Veuve Clicquot Suite, which has two bedrooms, one single and one double, with en suite bathroom. The huge Taittinger Suite is on the top floor of the house and again has two bedrooms, one with single bed and a main bedroom with a king size bed, freestanding roll top bath, ensuite bathroom and wonderful views across the rooftops to the Saint-Michel church. Exterior Details
There’s a large (110m2) and charming courtyard with an undercover terrace with summer kitchen, outdoor table and chairs and a comfortable sitting area. Further into the courtyard is a small plunge pool with a rockery and seating area, and stairs which lead to the upper terrace with sunbeds and further table and chairs and BBQ. Parking for one car behind the property and plenty of free on street parking.
