Marche is every bit as beautiful as its central Italian neighbours, Tuscany and Umbria, but without the tourist crowds and price tag. What you won’t find is tourist menus in English, Starbucks or your neighbours from home! What you will find is local food in locals’ restaurants, a real espresso for a euro and warm welcoming people who genuinely want to share this special region with you. 

If your business is within the hospitality industry – you might therefore be a holiday park, a glamping/camping site, a hotel or country house pub, a bed & breakfast or offer self-catering  accommodation – then we hope you will enjoy and be interested in what we have to offer. Or indeed you might be looking to diversify from your core business offering – for example a farmer looking to expand into tourism, a golf club looking to offer on-site accommodation – but you need some guidance and a dollop of divine inspiration!

When it comes to holidays, it's always the right time to book one!  I don't know about you, but I find myself careering through January 2016, before even accepting that we've moved on from Christmas and that 2015 is far behind us.  Here at One Off Places we're seeing peak season weeks flying off the shelves, and an increasing amount of July and August availability calendars showing as fully booked.  Already?  I hear you say!  January is the time that people's thoughts turn to holidays, dreaming of warmer climes, or simply some time off, out of the rat race, enjoying time with family and loved ones.  One Off Places is host to hundreds of properties, all of them individual and distinctive in some way, some way off the wall, and some more traditional.  We've selected a few of our favourites to get those holiday juices flowing......

Scotland is a country of magnificent beauty, from the isolation of the islands and the wildness of the rugged coastline to the splendour of the mountains and the vibrancy of the towns. With that in mind, it is no surprise that it is such a popular holiday destination, and there are lots of hotels and cottages that will provide a fairly standard base for your trip. But if you’d rather find unique places to stay in Scotland then dig a little deeper and you won’t be disappointed!
