The chateau sleeps up to 26 people in huge, individually designed bedrooms, and the bathrooms, some with two baths, are wonderfully over the top. There is a choice of salons for guest use, one has a bar, one has a baby grand piano... And if that's not enough, there's a billiard room, a music area, and a private cinema. There's an enormous professional kitchen where you can play chef (or someone else can play chef for you!). Outside there are 5 acres of private grounds, two terraces and a 14.5m heated swimming pool for you to enjoy.
The chateau is easy to access. If coming from the UK you can fly to Angouleme, which is just a 25 minute car journey from Chateau de la Couronne. (Limoges, Poitiers, Bergerac and Bordeaux are all within two hours). The chateau sits on the edge of the village of Marthon, just on the border between the Charente and the Dordogne, in south west France. Marthon is just 2 hours and 15 mins by train (TGV) from Paris.
With backgrounds in fashion and TV, the owners Nicky and Mark have created a trendy oasis of urban chic in a traditional ancient French Chateau. Extraordinaire!
