Rising high above the surrounding countryside, and visible from miles around, the charming village of Comares is one of the highest white villages in Andalucia at 739 metres above sea level.

Follow the ceramic footprints around the village which guide you through the cobbled streets, passing by fascinating historic buildings, the ancient castle and the old cemetery, depicting the village’s important place in history (traceable back to the 3rd century BC)
For the adrenalin junkies, Comares is home to the longest zipwire in Europe (436m)
Join the village’s three via ferrata routes - from straightforward to more technical, and including hanging bridges
Book a variety of guided climbing routes
Head to the town hall to pick up information on the various local cycling and hiking routes around the town
Book a cookery & culture course with a local gastronomy company
Have a meal at any one of the many Comares restaurants - enjoy trying the local delicacies while soaking up the Andalucian atmosphere. El Mirador is a favourite - a family run restaurant with a wonderful view all the way to the coast.
