Converted windmill in Portugal’s Alentejo with private pool
One Off Places is thrilled to announce the launch of Windmill Hill, a beautiful converted windmill in Portugal with private pool and 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside, which opened for its first guests in July 2015.
Windmill Hill is a perfect destination if you’re looking for privacy and seclusion, although it is by no means cut off – just a short walk away you will find cafes, restaurants and shops, and the coast is a 15 minute drive. It sleeps up to five in three bedrooms and boasts both an indoor and an outdoor kitchen, and is set in a large walled garden with a private patio and swimming pool.
The Alentejo region is beautiful and rural but it is also rich in history, culture and nature. The landscape varies from valley to coastline and there are heaps of outdoor pursuits on offer, from mountain biking, walking and horse riding to water sports, hot air ballooning and paragliding . Taste the local wines, cheeses and cured meats, or explore the authentic farms, villages and hilltop chapels. Alentejo is just waiting to be discovered.
