A beautiful three bedroom casita in peaceful grounds on the 8-acre private country estate of Finca el Sueno in Andalucia, tucked away in a protected valley between the white hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera and the sea. One of four cottages, as well as the main farmhouse, it’s a perfect and peaceful holiday location.
Alcornoque casita is the largest and most secluded of the cottage on the estate, with its own gardens and parking area, tucked under the ancient shady cork oak trees and enjoying views across the finca towards Vejer. It is in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the Costa de la Luz, the ‘coast of light’.
The beautiful 'white village' of Vejer de la Frontera is just 12 minutes by car. Some of the best beaches on the Costa de la Luz are just 20 minutes away by car - the long golden beaches of El Pamar & Canos de Meca up to Conil are particularly good for families in the summer and surfers in the winter. Montenmedio Golf & Country is les than 1km away and within a short drive there are several other excellent courses as well as wide range of activities such as horseriding and quad-biking. There is a wealth of choice for nature lovers too - from whale & dolphin watching to safaris exploring the wonderful National Parks. Your days can be as active or as laid-back as you wish - sherry-tasting, a day-trip to Seville, Cadiz or even Morocco are some of your options.

Interior Details
Alcornoque can sleep up to six guests in three bedrooms - one double (it can be a king double) and two twin bedrooms, sharing a family bathroom. It has a kitchen diner and separate sitting room with a corner wood burning stove. The high white ceilings throughout keep the cottage light and airy, and the casita is comfortably furnished and equipped. The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave, the beds all have sprung mattresses and 100% cotton bedlinen, and there is a separate utility room with washing machine for the Casitas. There is wifi throughout and smart TV.
Exterior Details
French doors from the sitting room lead out onto a large terracotta tiled private patio covered by a wide arched pergola. There is a charcoal BBQ and a long table and benches for shady al fresco dining. There is a covered swing seat and wooden sunbeds for lazy days with wonderful views. Set in the central gardens and orchards, just a short stroll from Alcornoque will bring you to the fenced ecological swimming pool (open Apr - Oct) with its large sun terrace, pergola and pool cabana. The shared gardens are designed around Moorish architecture with scented herb gardens and a central patio. There’s a wonderful Citrus Walk with an avenue of lemon, orange and mandarin trees. For the younger guests, there’s a small play area with climbing frame, slides and swings.

There are several accommodation options on site. Choose from the original private Cortijo, with Moorish origins and its own infinity pool - or one of the four traditionally-styled Casitas set in the grounds, sharing a large pool and sun terrace. El Sueño is a relaxed retreat, where each house is private, individual & self-contained. The houses have all been build in keeping with local tradition, and on original footprints and are oozing Andalucian charm and character. Perfect for a relaxing holiday, El Sueño is sited in a truly rural and peaceful location - easily accessible to the wealth of beaches, restaurants, shops & markets, culture & activities that the area has to offer. Additional housekeeping, catering, shopping service, personal chef, cookery lessons, childminding and bike hire are all available on request.
Conditions of Rental
Rates for this villa in Andalucia include IVA. Once Booking Form is completed, a 50% deposit is required for confirmation - with the balance of 50% is due 3 months before arrival in High & Peak, 2 months in Mid and Regular Seasons. Payment can be made by bank transfer in euros or sterling, or by credit or debit card via a third party website. There is also a refundable security deposit required. Flexible lengths and changeover dates for most of the year, minimum booking period with 14 nights from mid July to end of August (7 nights in Almendra) with a Saturday changeover. Short Breaks available between November to March and last-minute bookings. Arrival time is after 16:00 and departure before 10:00. Please note that we cannot accept pets (apart from working dogs) and the properties are non-smoking - there are also friendly cats on the finca.
