A traditional Highland cottage on the outside and a fresh contemporary holiday home on the inside, Achalic Beag is an idyllic hideaway where you can escape from the hubbub of the real world without leaving all of modern civilisation behind. The interiors are clean and new, with a log burning stove to add warmth and character and large windows that provide expansive vistas. Outside there are stunning landscapes on all sides, from sheep-filled fields to shadowy woodland. And nearby there are burns, sea lochs and country pubs. Come here and get away from it all.
The cottage is situated within the Lerag’s Glen, wonderfully remote yet just a 10-minute drive from the shops, restaurants and transport connections of Oban. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, from red squirrels and roe deer to pine martens and sea eagles, and there are lots of walking trails to explore. Wander down to Loch Feochan, overlooked by the cottage, and then while away the evening in the renowned Barn Bar pub and restaurant, a 15-minute walk away.

The cottage is accessible by a single-track road. Oban is a 10-minute drive to the north.

Interior Details
The cottage has two bedrooms – one super king/twin and one en-suite king – as well as another bathroom, a utility room, a dining kitchen and a very spacious sitting room with triple aspect windows and a log burning stove. A natural water supply comes from the surrounding hills, and there is a good WiFi/mobile signal.
Exterior Details
At the front there is a patio with dining furniture and a BBQ – the views from here are simply breathtaking.
Conditions of Rental
Changeover day is Friday, Saturday or Monday. Pets are welcome. Check in time is 4pm and check out is 10am. A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. No smoking.
