A decade of unique holiday accommodation - One Off Places celebrates 10 years in business
One Off Places, the holiday accommodation website for unique and distinctive holiday rentals, is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. The site is home to over 1000 accommodation options around the world ranging from simple woodland cabins to huge chateaux and house party mansions, to accommodate all budgets and group sizes.
One Off Places still features many of the properties which joined the site a decade ago. Examples of the loyal customers who have been a part of the site in February 2008 include Villa Tukad, a secluded riverside villa in Bali, El Tejar, a designer hilltop house in rural Andalucia, and Kyle’s House, a coastal cottage overlooking the Sound of Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
10 years on, some of the newest additions to the portfolio include Rowden Mill Station, a Victorian railway station conversion in Herefordshire and Deanich Lodge, a remote bunkhouse in the heart of a wilderness reserve in the Scottish Highlands.
Tabitha Symonds, founder and director of One Off Places says: `When people are searching for holiday accommodation online, the more individual and characterful properties are often being swamped by mass market holiday lets; One Off Places remains one of very few companies with a collection of properties chosen not by size, price or location, but by individuality. `
For those who’ve been following it since its inception, they’ll know that the site has changed and developed a lot in the last 10 years. It is now home to over 1000 accommodation options, and it offers users the chance to search for their chosen property not just by location and size, but by type of property, facilities and nearby activities.
Prices start from £225 per week for a low season week in a listed Byre in Shropshire, up to £70,000 per week, for a peak season week in a fully staffed luxury 11 bedroom catered villa on a huge private estate in Menorca.
