One-Off Feature
This memorable two-person countryside cabin is perfect for a nature-loving couple seeking romance on the coast of West Wales. Rain or shine, you can enjoy this quirky escape by dining alfresco in the garden surrounded by trees or the surprisingly spacious yet cosy open-plan living area. Spend your time away tucking into picnics on the nearby golden sandy beaches, strolling around historic castles and visiting quaint market towns.

Step inside and find yourself in the rectangular open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with neutral tones throughout, a characterful arched ceiling and plenty of natural light pouring through the glass doors. To your right is a well-sized one-wall fitted kitchen kitted with everything you need to prepare a hearty home-cooked meal. Opposite, is a plump sofa and a wooden dining table for two. At the rear of the cabin is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, you’ll find a small gravelled garden with furniture and a BBQ.

During your stay on a smallholding on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, explore the grounds to meet the resident donkeys and sheep. Stroll around the countryside and the nearby sleepy village of Cresselly (1 mile). For a meal out, you’ll find a couple of local pubs in Carew village (2 miles) as well as the dramatic ruins of a Norman and Tudor fortress, Carew Castle, where you could stop for a picnic. Keep heading north-west, further into the national park to find Upton Castle Botanical Gardens (5.5 miles) and National Trust Cleddau Woodlands (4.5 miles). Venture south to reach the coast, where you can explore the cliff-top walking trails and go for a dip at the secluded Swanlake Beach (7.5 miles) or the expansive Barafundle Bay Beach (12 miles).
