Escape to the coast in this charming beachside lodge in LLansteffan. The property sleeps four guests and is a great base for families and couples who love getting out and about in nature. The estuary beach is just 200 metres from the holiday home, and there are some spectacular local walks following the coastal path. The National Botanic Garden of Wales makes a lovely day out, 16 miles away.
A beachside track leads to this idyllic coastal bolthole. The detached lodge has a distinct Scandi style, with chic furniture and vibrant pops of colour in the paintwork, accessories, and soft furnishings. The main living area is open plan, comprising a lounge/kitchen/diner. Create delicious dishes in the stylish kitchen area to enjoy together at the colourful table by the window, before retiring to the lounge area to watch the TV/DVD and warm your toes by the wood burner. The property has two bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a bunk bedroom. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, chill out on the decked areas to the front and rear of the cottage, where you’ll find a sail canopy to offer shade from the sun and a portable BBQ for al fresco dining.
Llansteffan is a pretty village, with two pubs, a fish and chip shop, and a tearoom. Take a stroll to the hilltop ruins of the Norman castle to enjoy panoramic views as far as Worm’s Head, or wander along the shoreline of the sandy beach. The Wales Coast Path passes through the village, providing long walks with stunning coastal views. For a spot of retail therapy, head to the vibrant town of Carmarthen (7.5 miles), known for its popular indoor and outdoor markets. The town also has a great range of independent cafes and restaurants.
